The German coat of arms features an eagle, but a piggy bank would do just as well. Germans are good at nothing if not saving, regardless of interest rates. Economic historian Werner Abelshauser talks to Made in Germany about the mentality of saving money for a rainy day and where it comes from.

Of course Americans used to be really good at saving and banking their money. That's untill the social economic system has broken down to post war German standards before the outbreak of WW2. It's not a bugging problem. It's an income and cash flow problem.

that must be why I drove an old Oliver in the feild that blew oil in my face bc it never hand an engin cover and leaked oil like a sieve.

while my neighbor had a 380hp quad tractor with gps and auto steer

no till for life

bc we had to not bc you get better yields we just did not have the hp or the time we where the ugly farmer on the block but we did not go bankrupt and now we have 2 nice John Deere 4840 with a cab and air condition and gps .

now my dad seems to play currency markets as Ag speculation has provided training and it's just to dang expensive to by US farm ground 16, 000 usd a hector for clay ground. that's an investment to grow a few potatoes.

funny how they dont mention its because of a 48% tax on your income and Germany is 160% more expensive now since switching to the euro. Nobody here wants to mention the 19% sales tax on top of it an about 5-7 US dollars for a gallon of gasoline (70% is tax). Its not that they save money - Its just that its too expensive to buy so they have to save. We could also ask why 40% of Germans drive company cars? Basically the poor save what they can cause going for a walk is free. - AND a side note - Paying into their corrupt retirement is actually paying for welfare people that dont want to work and when the time comes to retire, even though you paid 100% in and the government uses your money to make money- you only get a 60% return when you ACTUALLY retire. I would never put this country on a pedestool for ripping people off.

Not really, I think government does a lot for them...so we dont' call it saving..we call it splurging without waters...nor gates. Granted there's not much there....to beggin with but we do understand economics and not an isolated sentence. So ya, if its given all away and we pretend we saved for it...then how is their savings or a value. After all, it's a system that works through the ranks of what you're assigned to do..and not based on your independent capacity to work..while for military and a factory that's important..but it's not your GDP savings....hehe Why...we also get those same pockets of rations in the states that predictably follows religion.
