Fix BattleNet Games Slow Download Speed - Download Faster

In this video I show you how to fix Battlenet games slow download issues. This issue may occur when you're trying to download games, or updates. The slow download speed issue could be caused by download limits set in the battlenet settings. If the limit options are enabled then the maximum download speed for games will be capped. Fortunately, unchecking the download limit options will allow you to download battlenet games faster.

Another possible solution to fix battlenet slow download speed is to set a custom download limit. This requires you to enable the download limit options and enter in a limit that is higher than your maximum download speed.

Download limits can be enabled for updates and pre-release content. This means either of these types of battlenet downloads could be limited resulting in slow download speeds.

If you're still struggling to fix the battlent slow download speed issue then you can try using an ethernet connection. Although it's not always possible to use, an ethernet connection can speed up your download speed significantly.

Another way to speed up your Battlent download is to close other applications that are using the internet. While it may seem trivial, other applications may be using your bandwidth even when running in the background. By closing each application completely you can test to see if the Battlenet game downloads any faster.

If you're trying to download a game using Wi-Fi then your router may have 2 Wi-Fi options. Many routers have a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz option. In most cases using the 5GHz Wi-Fi connection will provide better download speeds.

Unfortunately this issue 99% of the time has nothing to do with the user and instead has to do with the fact Blizzard does not have their own download servers for content and instead they a P2P torrent download that results in this issue.

What can you do about this? Absolutely nothing, after all, Blizzard only makes a few dollars a year (wcyd) so they don't really have the means to provide their own download servers!

I've been struggling with this issue on my new computer at home. Diablo 4 updates have been downloading at ~30kbs and I'm getting 500mpbs signal. At work, the same download runs at ~700kbs-30mbs but I'm only getting about 200-250mbps signal. I've tried returning the download settings to default, restarting the Bnet app etc. Nothing seems to work.

My issue is that my other laptops and other devices work fine but on my pc i dont see all those options your seeing in the advanced tab and i get pretty good ping in games and stuff but my download and upload speed it terrible my laptop gets around 300mb speed but my pc only gets 40mb ive had this issue before but somehow i was able to fix it and it was getting a normal speed of 250 to 300+ but when i took out the pc attena and put it back i guess the setting i had changed back then reverted to default i hope you help me on this i would really appreciate it because i have been trying to fix this issue for days! thx.

Thanks battlenet, surely im going to download 150+ GB at 5 mb/s. And after 2 weeks of download there will be an update of 70GB that will take me one more week to download. i remember when bnet was good

Ive had the same problem and found out that if you have any type of vpn(even if its offline) you should try uninstalling it and removing it from ur computer completely. I had a vpn that i didnt know did anything but now that i did remove it i went frmo 50KB/s to 50MB/s, hope this helps

I dont know why people are making videos like this. Its not like its a secret how dogshit battle net overall as a platform is especially with download speeds. It is a horribly made platform that shouldnt exist but it is what it is. It bottlenecks downloads like no single other platform and its a joke.
