I read the full book on this. This is so amazing that they found this ship. It has really brought the whole story back for me. Absolute amazing find. I am so excited.

Now they just need to figure out how to raise the ship up and secure it in a museum, the crew survived so it wouldn't
be disturbing a grave site. I know this is not going to happen but it would be cool if they could do it.

And that tremendous progress we made in naval engineering in these last 100 years, as well. Bravo!

It’s funny how at school we were reading about this and then our teacher went on Facebook and yelled that the endurance ship was found!

The history of Shackleton, Worsley and The Endurance is fascinating. True survival. I think I would have just gone down with the ship, these sailors were the very definition of Endurance. Respect!!!

Just to note, he was born in Ireland in 1874. So he's Irish, not British

Why would anyone in 1915 go to Antarctica in a wooden ship ? I mean the Titanic sunk in 1912 and it was metal .

You know a hundred years ago is not really that long ago

I'm making a comment here for posterity. I've read the book by Alfred Lansing multiple times but it's time for a fresh read to look at the photos as well! Huzzah!

Find it a bit strange that they made movies and TV shows about this recently and then these discoveries start happening 🤔

Shackleton was Irish. How on earth could CBS mess that up by calling him British. Jeez!
