1:51 one armor set that has really stood out to me (especially as a flamethrower user) was the trench paramedic set from the super store. It's a light armor that gives 2 stims and increases stim duration by 2 seconds. It makes your stims so ungodly powerful that you won't be able to die even when completely surrounded by bugs while still being incredibly powerful

The Light Gunner armor is also a good choice and what I've been using. It's light armor with the Extra Padding perk which gives it an armor rating of 100. This means you have medium armor protection and light armor speed at the same time.

Heads up, the default armour you get in the beginning gives you 150 armour like heavy

I’ve watched bile titans just shrug off my rail cannon

Really been enjoying this game!

My loadout for fighting bugs when I’m in a group of 4 with my friends (running 9s)

If anyone wants to try it!

Armor: Trailblazer
Primary: Slugger / Breaker (on exterminate)
Secondary: Redeemer
S1: Orbital Rail Gun Cannon
S2: Eagle Air Strike / 500 / Eagle Smoke (optional based on team)
S3: Railgun
S4: Jump Pack
Booster: Stamina or (Hellpod Space Optimization if someone is using stamina)

- bugs is all about movement. Jump pack allows you to get places you normally couldn’t. I find you can be very creative with it, and in combination of trailblazer armor passive, (and eagle smoke if you take it), I never have a hard time evading and not getting swarmed

Hope anyone finds this helpful! For Democracy!

Here's my list for bugs that I have ran for difficulty 9 consistently:

Armor: Get the light one that gives you more nades (less importance on stims with shield backpack)
Primary: Breaker is still best, shoots fast which doesn't punish you as much if you whiff shots with bugs close to you
Secondary: auto pistol
Grenade: whichever one you like, I mostly use them to blow up nests

Strategems:
1) Arc Thrower: never runs out of ammo, shoots faster after initial charge, has really good range, kills multiple per shot, can fight all enemies
2) Shield Backpack: great safety net, prevents knockback
3) 500kg bomb: for titans and big groups, an easy timing is to wait for the bile to spew and just throw it under them
4) Orbital railcannon: 1 shots chargers, can 1 shot titan if your destroyer and the titan is at the right angle

The flamethrower is really good against chargers since it takes at minimum 1/3 of a cannister but it's actually quite bad against a huge group of enemies especially if they have elites and hunters. Since the range is quite short, turning while shooting is slow, and it takes time to kill things, everything will swarm you quite fast. Plus you can set things and yourself on fire which is just annoying. Assuming you're playing on 7+ difficulty, you will probably run out of ammo after one huge extended fight since it only has 4 canisters.

For 500kg bomb/rail cannon, I sometimes switch to mech/laser orbital/eagle airstrike/eagle cluster depending on others' loadouts.
Mech is really good since its missiles 2-shot titans in the head and one shot strips charger's leg armor. Laser Orbital/Eagle Cluster is great at killing HUGE groups of ads but Cluster's huge aoe has a good chance of killing unaware teammates. I mainly use Eagle Airstrike to blow up holes and buildings.
Orbital Railcannon is sometimes really troll because it'll aim for a brood commander instead of a charger.

Laser Drone is decent but sometimes it kills me since I'm too lazy to look at where it's shooting.

As long as your careful around your team the Arc Thrower torches everything after you learn how to use it.

My impact grenade is the only thing that never leave my loadout, no matter what.

The best loadout, is clearly good teamwork.

I don't understand why people complain about losing a few rounds in a magazine that loads quickly, the "nerfs" were the most mild I could have imagined considering how unvaried most loadouts were. Everyone complaining or clickbaiting is the biggest part of the problem with the toxic elements of the community.

The slugger is God tier. Light to medium armor penetration. Bangin damage, long range accuracy, 0 chance of losing ammo from premature reload AND it busts open grenade doors with a single shot saving your precious bug hole collapsing tools.

My goto loadout for bugs has been light armor (i like the one that lets you toss things farther), Knight smg or LibPen, Redem SMG, impacts and Stamina boost. The stratagems that work for me are railcannon strike, gas strike, air burst and a recoiless rifle. This build has consistently saved me in Suicide runs where im farming for Super Samples.

Kinda sucks the Knight is Deluxe Edition exclusive since its pr much a P90, it has really good light armor dmg and it has a burst mode which i highly recomend using. The LibPen is good too for the brood commanders and bile spewers, they go right through the head and generally mop them up if u have enough distance from them. Impacts are kinda self explanatory but Stamina Booster is secretly op imo.

Stratagem wise, I use the railcannon on prio targets like Titans and Chargers, do be warned though that Brood Commanders count as an equal threat to chargers so it might accidently target those in a crowd if u dont clear em out 1st. It takes 2 shots from the railcannon to drop a titan and just 1 for the charger so I think its an efficient stratagem at worst. The other 2 are interchangeable, I like airburst and gas since they deal with the low health bug tht swarm and both have low cooldowns although u can swap em out for eagle stratagems instead. The 110mm rocket pods need to be changed cuz they suck at the moment, not accurate and land at an angle compared to the railcannon. 500 Kilo is good if ur good at obtaining aggro from Titans and then also landing it below its feet or better yet a direct impact. Those suckers move fast surprisingly. Other than that, getting rid of the small fkers is priority till a charger shows up to vibe check u.

The Recoiless rifle is my fav support weapon atm, it can snipe spore nests from half way across the map if u judge for the drop off of the rocket. It can peel the leg of a charger in one shot and drops bile titans at around 2-3 headshots or opens up their side for ur homies to beat it down.

Alternatively, if ur friends already have a recoiless, I would highly recommend the Spear. It got secret buffed since now it's rockets can be restocked one at a time from ammo pickups, it can one shot a bile titan so long as u aim in front of it and it heads the head and since its a huge target, lock on becomes easy to obtain. The downside to both is the horrendous reload time. I still recommend em if ur looking for a way to deal with the Bile titans consistently.

Limb damage reduction armor is also insane! Being able to keep running full speed without the bugs stunning your legs and slowing you down is a blessing and has saved me countless times.

my favorite is grenade armor, ammo backpack, orbital railgun, air strike, and for support weapon, flame thrower for bug, grenade launcher for closing bug nest, and railgun for robot. and scorcher for primary, the only down side of that gun is the low ammo count and the possibility of killing yourself when bug jump on your face. other than that, the damage from that thing is outstanding

If anyone is genuinely interested, i have a loadout that feels pretty good for 7+. It does require module upgrades for all the turret modules but once you've done that. Rock the breaker or the burst rifle with medium penetration (idk the name). For your stratagems get the mech(ESPECIALLY GOOD right now with modifiers that end up giving you 3 mech spawns in a match), Autocannon sentry, Gatling Sentry, and the recoilless launcher. Its a very team oriented build. When the bug holes start opening, just throw your two turrets somewhere in the distance on a hill and then use your recoilless to focus on chargers for your team. If you can keep both turrets alive during fights, fights are really manageable.

A good pick of stratagems but for difficulty 7+ for after this update for bugs i would suggest any rocket launcher + Orbital Laser + Mech + 500kg or Guard dog backpack and if your a split from the pack kind of player to solo sub objectives then pick a jetpack, wearing light armor of course + stamina/regen booster

The gattling turret is a great "oh shit" trigger for non-defense maps.
