Something I've discovered is whenever I decide I want to tackle a legacy challenge, it can take me two or three goes before I feel connected to the founder sim, and I think thats okay! My current founder was a totally different sim when I first made her. For me, having a story I can get invested in is key for my sims.

i started a perfect genetics legacy and also had my founder go into the future bc i had an itch to play with that pack, i completely expected to get bored of that family like i often do but this time my sim Ava met Auden in the future and their last name is Astor so i was like omg perfect they have the same name! and then coincidentally i named their first child after my friend Astrid and i was like i should make this an alphabet challenge too and ever since i’ve fallen in love with this family and im 8 generations in! every generation i do something new/different that i haven’t done before or if im too overwhelmed with that i’ll do a normal/family life generation. truly life changing once i found a challenge that i loved

I am doing the "Lepacy" challenge and I am currently on gen 6 which pets. I havent gotten bored yet! What I like to do is complete the challenges for the skills. Gives me more to do so it doesnt get bored.

I also recommend Family Echo for family trees. It allows you to add and showcase a lot of details about your sims, like birth or death dates

I love the sims 3 challenges, but I always abandon my saves as soon as I get good money.
I try my best to not collect flowers, get high paying jobs or hobbies, but every single time, no matter how much I enjoy a save, the second I have money, I get bored😭

The Sims Legacy Challenge is something I have been wanting to start for a while, but have never done so yet as I felt intimidated by the idea, but after watching this video, you gave me the inspiration to "revive" one of my Sims 3 characters that I wanted to do in the past, he is tied to something I never really done before, so I figure it would be a good way to dive into a Legacy challenge and spice up my Sims 3 experience.

I have a plan to do a legacy with whoever is the last gen of my 100 baby sim that i like? By that point id probably move to a different world/save and do some dice rolls to get started as i rarely do careers in the sims
