i have a apollo twin X and still use my ssl2.
the apollo is an over all better interface with the unison plugins but the ssl2 is still a great interface, i love both

Purchased a 2plus after researching all the interfaces coming out at that time reasonable price these hands down are amazing

It’s pretty much all I use in my studio, haven’t had any limitations and needed anything “better”…. It would be nice if they offered a 4 or 6 channel with a pair of inserts for outbound gear, that would be something I’d snap up in a heartbeat…. It’s SSL so you can be pretty sure it doesn’t suck… The only complaint I’ve got is I wish the monitor outputs could drive a little harder for more headroom, but that’s fairly minor….

I would go far as recommending the SSL2 as and alternative to a sub-500 buck headphone amp to an audiophile. That's how good the DAC in these things are.

good video, You have said it absolutely right that this cheap audio interface is much better than very expensive audio interfaces which i am using ssl2 and i'm Quiet Satisfied .

Great video, I have the SSL 2+, bought it for the road as well, my main interface is the Apogee Symphony Desktop but Im not mad at the SSL at all, it stays hooked up to my iPad most of the time and Ill use my iPad as a guitar amp sim going into my Apogee and the guitars sound great. I know I can use amp sims inside my Mac but I like just committing and recording the amp tones straight to an audio track

I have the ssl2 where you using the 1073 the whole time? Or did you use only the ssl when you stopped bypassing the 4K

Hey man, dj here. Can this help me with my overall mix sound quality? Bit of a newbie in the production mix/mastering world. Most that i use for mastering is Audacity with a multiband compressor. Really wanna improve on the overall sound quality.

I thought you said you have used a lot of SSL consoles over the years... Well my friend, the 4000 and the G+ consoles have some noise as well. All analog consoles do. Anyway, this box sounds better than the apollo if you use it straight out of the box but the Apollo with the right plug-in combo can sound just like this or way different if you want. The ssl boxes will destroy most audio interfaces on the market. Seriously, the converters in these things are top notch. They really do sound like a tiny little SSL console.
