Perhaps you've been searching for a while for a video on YouTube that can help with fixing your problems with changing chords? But in truth, maybe only a portion of any 1 tip in this series is mentioned. This video series which includes a lesson 2, will cover it all.

In order for this to all work, it is recommend that you spend at least 15 minutes per day (every day if possible) but never more than 30 minutes at a time. Yes, it's okay to practice more, but just take breaks. The breaks serve a couple purposes (besides some rest) it allows your hands to remember how to do it. Proof of this phenomena is quite noticeable when typing, as you may not be able to actually know what the order of the letters are on the keyboard, but yet your fingers know where to press. Now simply, we are trying to get your hands to hold the memory of playing guitar!

One thing you will notice when returning to the guitar after a break.... at first you most likely will have difficulty doing what you just did a short while ago. This is because your hands didn't retain the memory... in other words, you don't really know it yet.
Q. So how do you know when to 'move on to learn new stuff?
A. When you can just pick up your guitar and do it cold the first time..

Great tip. Keeping my fingers as close to the strings without touching them has really helped me gain speed and switching frets. Same thing for my picking hand. The hardest part to learn is to trust my fingers to find the correct strings without watching my picking hand. Repetitions are the key.

Hi, Bob, thank you for this helpful video. Your tip about moving the D chord shape around the fretboard and your metronome demonstration are especially helpful. My transition from D to G is already smoothing and increasing speed, by following your practice. Thank you so much! Happy guitar playing, Cher :)

I absolutely love this video. I learned so much. I have struggle with making the D chord, C chord, and F chord and moving between the three. I have been playing for five months and I struggle to make the chords without fret buzz . Do you have a complete program for beginners with chords, picking, scales, and theory. Your videos have the best explanation on finger placement I have ever seen. Thank you so very

You know whats funny?
I've instinctively tried what you are teaching but gave up because I thought what do i know?
Thanks. These videos have exposed so many bad habits from being self taught.
You've improved my playing immensely.

Thank you for this. Some chords are so hard to hit easily. C and D minor especially. Also which Taylor is your guitar. It’s sound is beautiful.

Bob, I think these are helpful, but I still have trouble changing fron the standard C to anything. I am ok with small cords and some abreviated ones, and bar cords have no chance, my fingers still get sore and in the way of other strings, so I have big problems. as for my fingerpicking hand it seems ok.
