Such a great video, so much cool stuff! I’m gonna share it with my music marketing group. I couldn’t make it to the meetup this year but the RKC Patreon community has been a huge boon for my own music career. The value we get from being part of this community far exceeds the support we give through our membership, this model should be an inspiration for many indie artists everywhere

Joining this community was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
The meetups we’ve are always a highlight as are the listening parties. I can’t recommend this community enough to anyone who wants to put their music in front of real, friendly people. ❤❤

This is such a great video! Congrats, Rachel! 💙
Thanks for everything you‘re doing. That Berlin meet-up was such a great experience. Meeting all the Knobtwister-friends was so wonderful. That weekend is hard to beat. 😊

This is such a good shout. Dedicated communities are where it's at, people that you can rely on to hype you up, give you feedback, support your work and give you some tech support. I wouldn't be anywhere today without the creative individuals that decide to put out tutorials and art that makes them happy and inspired, and then the forums and communities that pop up around them and the software.

Just found your channel through the remix contest. I love your wholesome and down to earth paradigm on artistry and community!

It's hard to find the words to describe the feeling of being in the room with such a fun, kind, supportive *and talented* group of your KnobTwister community, Rachel. It was such a privilege to help make that happen. Thanks to you, @ableton and the KT Mods for helping to make it happen, and thanks to the KT community for showing up (in many senses of that word!). 16/10 - would do it all again next year...

I love this. Thank you. It’s very reasonable, and reassuring. The whole point is true connection.

Great video, and fully agree. Funnily enough, when I played in a band in the 80s and early 90s we used to talk about our thousand superfans, at least half of whom could be guaranteed to turn up wherever we played anywhere within a 100 mile radius and a smaller proportion who would travel much further than that. We played a mix of originals and covers, we were unsigned, and we made money (not a fortune, but enough) from ticket sales, CDs and merch at the gigs. That group of about a thousand people meant everything to us, not least because we knew it meant we could sell out smaller venues in a heartbeat which made bookings easy. Your points are spot on Rachel... and this is all kind of back to the future in a way.

Thank you for making this video, I have been following you for so so long and you are always an inspiration but the thing that I love most, is that you are real and authentic with life, with the music lifestyle and that's better tan a thousands of hot dogs out there hahaha.
I'm trying to focus on my music but also in what can I bring to the table for them to keep listening to me and I notice that making content is my issue, love making music and talking about it but I need to let go the fear to the camera and post even if I don't have so many views.
Once again thank you because you make me believe that is possible to make the things that you love, even when isn't mainstream.
Big big hugs from México!

Another top thought provoking video Rachel. Great work sharing your activities with your Patreon community that I'm not a member of yet. Many thanks for sharing.

Quite an excitiing event indeed!!
I'll definitely consider joining! Not saying that because of the Ableton HQ trip but moreso the community... definitely sounds great to be part of!
And RKC, do keep up the amazing work you're putting out!!

The "1000 True Fans" concept works outside of music as well.

I've worked for a small company (~18 people) since I got out of college in 2008. We are still working with customers who were customers even before then. (One of them first hired us in 2001, and is still a customer.) Having those repeat customers is what kept us going during, say, a market crash, or the COVID lock downs. Working with these people so long also develops a rapport -- both you and the customer can skip the sales boilerplate and get straight to the point, saving everyone time and effort.

Don't get me wrong; I applaud people who hit the viral lottery, and appreciate their stunning success. But, by and large... I'm good where I am. Seems you are, too. 👍

Hello, I listened all your music! I know you have your own style, but could you make liquid melodic breakbeat abd drum and base. I think in your hands it could be so amazing ❤️ thank you!

Hi Rach! Once again you bring life to YT feed!
My two cents....Now it's different times, everyone knows that "subs" and "views" being bought right and left and YT promotions sucks. The only thing that matters if you are a live musician is the crowd you draw live and fans coming to see you IRL or Patreon, nothing greater than smiles of a fan of your music that came to meet ya. The amount of happiness is so much greater than sitting at home watching a views count. I know! I had 15K subs back in 2014 when it was a big number for a nobody from nowhere with no paid promotion, and any live show for a hundred ppl in a dim cafe was a blast (or a private live stream on Patreon for ppl from overseas).
Thank you for being with us!
