About this concert
Over the years, the Ammodo Masterclass has become a household name throughout the world. The three-day masterclass gives four talented young conductors the chance to conduct the Concertgebouw Orchestra while at the same time receiving instruction from a prominent maestro. This time Paavo Järvi will be presiding, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation. Under his supervision the candidates will be conducting a varied selection of works from the symphonic repertoire.

The Ammodo Masterclass is invaluable to the conductors participating, to young musicians and to all music lovers looking to learn more about the fascinating interaction between conductor and orchestra. Thank you are you are we thank you for the young gentleman from Farrell who lives in Germany today you’re doing quite well but in my opinion you want to conduct Wagner I think you need to understand Gardner don’t need to listen to Wagner to get into the depths of his music to have feelings for the music and then then you will really how should I say be able to do what’s your everyone’s from you? I think you’re on the way it’s not only was Wagner it was every piece of music, which one knows that he’s going to contact or be part of or something. This is how I feel about all that when I get up in the morning I listen to opera I don’t listen to the news, I’m not interested in what schools in the world I’ve got no influence and has no pleasure in it but in music there is something which gives you some kind of focusing on the positivity of what this world can offer.
