I didn’t “need” another camera I already had more than I “need” but I ordered one based of the colors you got out the shot of your daughter. I have NEVER seen skin tones like that out of any of my Sony’s.
You sir are one of the very few ethical and legitimate reviewers out there. Keep up the good work, I recommend your channel to everyone i discus video gear with.

About the no S35 crop in 4K: one way to work around it that I’ve tested on the A7SIII, is to use Clear Image Zoom.
One of my fellow video shooters wanted to still use the Sirui Anamorphic 50mm 1.8, and we found that using Clear Image Zoom at about 1.3x to 1.5x (maximum) gives enough coverage. You’ll still be able to record in 4K 60p. And you won’t really notice any quality loss.

this is such a proper video dude, seriously so so well put together and really gave me all the information I needed about video on this camera! I'm definitely still going to stick with the a7iii for another year or two but this will definitely be a good option once I need that 4k 120fps which would be amazing honestly

I love how he's talking about the color space improvements on the a7S III when YouTube compression added so much banding.

Hybrid cameras have gotten so good at video these days that we're only really dealing with differences on the margins. You can make great-looking videos with just about anything today if you understand lighting. All other things being equal, would I rather have a 10-bit 4:2:2 camera? Of course. But that a7 III does not suck for video and is totally usable in 97% of circumstances.

The very first video I saw about the a7siii I immediately noticed the improved color science. I noticed there is a lot more saturation in the shadows compared to other cameras and less saturation in the highlights, like actual cinema cameras do. Wish you could do more videos on color science since it’s most interesting for me!

I would be interested in a quality, color and noise performance comparison between the S5 and the A7s III. Looking at the specs, the A7s is superior, but I would be interested in seeing if the results are worth the massive price difference (Here in Germany the A7s costs more than double the price of a S5)
