Chatsworth House Full Tour

In this video we will take a tour of Chatsworth House and Gardens.
If you plan on going please allow at least three hours, an hour to tour the house, and at least two hours to tour the garden, or rather park, as it is more like a park than a garden. There are also fabulous eating places where you may want to spend time too.

Chatsworth House is a grade 1 listed building and has stood here since the 16th century. It has been inhabited by 12 Dukes and currently the 12th Duke and Duchess live here.

I think the thing that hit me the most about this property was the huge number of paintings, sculptures, frescoes, in the property.

The painted ceiling in the Painted Hall as you walk in is impressive, and was designed to be that way, to impress the guests, but this is not the only room with incredible painted ceilings. It sort of reminds me of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, when I first saw that.

If you are a fan of period dramas, I will show you exactly where Keira Knightly was filmed in the house when she went to Pemberley, in the 2005 movie Pride and Prejudice.

The gardens are vast, pick up a map from the gift shop , try not to get lost like I did.
