Chatsworth House near Bakewell in Derbyshire is an incredible English Stately Home. In this video, we will show you Chatsworth House & Gardens Tour covering some of the history associated with the Cavendish Family that have owned Chatsworth House for 16 generations. It was possibly also the inspiration for Jane Austen with her famous novel Pride and Prejudice using Chatsworth House as Pemberley House for Mr Darcy. With over 100 acres of gardens to explore and 26 exquisite rooms, Chatsworth House is an incredible day out!

Having been twice in the last few weeks, A weekend for the bonfire and fireworks and then this weekend for Chatsworth at Christmas. The house was truly splendid with the theme 20 years of Christmas displays at the house. A fantastic variety of shops to buy that extra special Christmas presents. Chatsworth is a truly magnificent estate . I think that a person would need more than one day to really see the place . The gardens alone would take a good day to enjoy to the fullest . I would want to have the time to enjoy looking at the house the furnishings and the art also . The Devonshire's have put a lot of effort into preserving Chatsworth and it looks to be successful .

P.S. I have to admit I love the formal gardens and long sweeping lawns with strategically placed trees, 'faux' rivers, and ornate greenhouses. Such things are rare as they require so much land, that most of us will never own. A pretty jumble of bright colors is a joy as well, but within our reach.
