- How To Bend Acrylic Pipe or acrylic Tube PERFECTLY
The Marble Machine X uses Acrylic Pipe for Marble Transportation, and to guide the marbles correctly everywhere, I needed to learn how to bend acrylic pipe. Its really fun and rewarding when you get it right, now you have to make up a project just to experience it :)

Good Luck with everything you do and thank you for watching!

/ Martin

I just wanted to say how happy I was seeing the reactions on last weeks Conveyor Belt Video! I wanted to make another kind of video showing things actually working. Its fun filming beauty shots of the Marble Machine X, it just looks cool from any angle. It has been a huge part of the design process to try to achieve that. So many times I took a tougher road design-wise, to keep moving parts visible and so on. The easiest would have been a MIDI keyboard and a computer, we took another route with this one :). Thank you for all the high fives in the comments, I was really touched by it and it is a huge motivation forward that helps me to cross this elusive finishing line.

Martin, by God, make sure you put witness marks on all those pipes so you know which goes where if you haven't already. I can't imagine the headache of trying to figure which ones go where!

I watch this channel when I'm feeling down, even if I'm just watching a tutorial, his voice and his music calms me down.

@Wintergatan, Considering that Electricians bend PVC pipes (in the past) etcetera. I can say from experience, that the bend radius should preferably stay within the radius of the pipes width/diameter. So, if you have a 21 in the outer diameter. For a good and clean bend, you should have around 21 in the U-bend. Of course, a tighter may be possible. But you have much more risk of running into that "crinkle" issue. Something that novice electricians experience a lot when bending normal Copper cables.

Pressing two thumbs against one another and bending from that angle, with an even pressure, works generally the best. Basically, the thumbs work as a 'support' to as you pivot the wrists inward.

One of my favorite parts of these videos is when you can hear Martin's smile while he's explaining something like the stud welded prototype. For some reason that always makes me very happy.

The beat of the background song. The heartbeat of the marble machine.
It may be only an easy song, but it fells like a complete one.
This heartbeat calms me down. It is absolutely peaceful.

At work we use hot water to bend pipes. Since it gives even heat and there is no problems with accidental bubbles due to too much heat

I don't even want to ask what medical procedure would require an 18mm _medical silicone rod_

This is also great advice for people who decide to custom watercooling solutions for PC's using acrylic tubing!

The finishing line is visible now Martin! What an unforgettable journey this is, and is yet to become!
I really liked the outdoor shots and seeing you enjoy your beautiful surroundings.
Cheers!

Even though I like the black programming plates better based on their looks and flexibility, I think having a pre-programmed song on hand during concerts would save a LOT of time. So yeah, this collab could potentially save years from your life haha

Just finished bingewatching the entire playlist in a few days... The whole process of getting here has been such a wild ride ranging from country to country, dragon slaying, success failure and success...

Cannot wait to see more of the build process. You've come a tremendous way, and while there is yet lot to do, you can power it through no doubt. Home stretch awaits... and then the world tour!
