Ok I got an idea, what if we build bunker houses in tornado alley. If one does blow in, the house just retracts underground at the press of a button. Or build them like Hobbit homes in LOTR. Better idea then rebuilding fragile housing out of wood and plaster that will just be destroyed by the next twister.

My brother-in-law had a secret underground room under his garage. He built the room then built the garage over it, there was a trap door with stairs that led down to room. Was used for hanging & drying his marijuana, he grew acres of it. Was busted many years ago before was legal, but they didn't find room tho.
