First, no no on the front load washer. At Christmas, I make over 100 homemade enchiladas, 3 different ones. We have a Mexican feast and make enough for everyone to have leftovers. I’m 74 now and just finished cancer treatments. My granddaughter has taken over the enchilada making for me. It’s so wonderful having all my family here. This year, we had our first great grandchild with us. I’m so blessed.

I make my mashed potatoes close to the same way but one thing I do differently is to roast the garlic in its skin with a little drizzle of olive oil salt and pepper - in the oven. The cloves become soft and you can actually just squeeze it directly into the potatoes and smash it in along with the warm cream and butter! It’s amazing!

Nope, no, on the front load washers. I despise them! Top loaders only! I so agree!

You can get the pedestals for the washer and dryer

We have decided to do a breakfast / brunch this year in memory of our brother who passed last January. He absolutely loved breakfast.

I prefer the top load, never had the front load. If your having problems with your knees now, just wait till you get to be 70, I am having problems getting down then getting back up. Never get another front load. Love the hair style.❤️🎄❤️🎄❤️

I usually invite all the couples and singles in the neighborhood who don't have family nearby to Christmas dinner. I've served ham, prime rib, lamb shanks, cioppino, stuffed pork loin, and short rib pasta—not all at the same dinner. Oh, and a lobster dinner one year. It's so much fun, and everyone has a great time.

Christmas Day with our family is super easy. We order sub tray from Publix, crock pot meatballs, chips and dip, Greek salad, sausage balls. Christmas cookies and cake. Our special Christmas punch. Easy and relaxing.

I recently learned I was using WAY too much laundry detergent and so are you Bunky! For a large load of laundry 1/4 cup of detergent is plenty. The laundry detergent companies have tricked us with those lids and lines!

I haven’t watched the entire video yet, but I had the front loaders for about 8 years and we switched back to top loader WITH the agitator two years ago and I will NEVER go back. I love it so much better. I switched nothing but the washer (the dryer is still great so we still have that one), and the clothes are cleaner and I use less detergent, which we did not change. 😊

Turkey and ham with all the fixings and goodies for Thanksgiving. Mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, green beans with mushrooms and bacon, broccoli casserole, bacon wrapped water chestnuts, shrimp cocktail, dinner rolls, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, homemade dressing, and I usually have nuts in the shells for a snack which we also put some out for our squirrels! Christmas is Prime rib and lots of the same sides etc as Thanksgiving and cookies but this year I only did Steak and baked potatoes and green beans. Plus cherry and pecan pie. My daughter in law brought some cookies!

Our Christmas Eve dinner is an Italian dinner. Christmas morning we have breakfast casseroles. One savory, with sausage & eggs and one with cinnamon breading it. Christmas evening is typically ham, collard greens and some other sides. 😋❤️ The next month is diet time!! 😂

I have a large capacity LE washer and I love it. When I had front load Bosch I loved them too. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. You need to get a built in riser with drawers to set your machines on. It’s the only way. You need to only put in a little bit of soap every load. You’ll ruin your washer the more you put in. It’s working overtime.

We sometimes do surf/turf for Christmas. Prime Rib or beef tenderloin and baked stuffed shrimp

Had a front load washer before and I must say I prefer…as I get older…the top load for sure. But not only that, I just find the top loads better all around.
As for Christmas dinner…kids come over Christmas Eve for finger foods, a pool game or two and maybe a movie. I also do Santa sacks for them to open. Christmas Day is different now because they have their own little families and they do Christmas mornings at their places then we do our family gift exchange and meal later in the day. Our Christmas meal is definitely turkey with all the trimmings. Once in awhile we might add in a baked ham but not always. Of course here in Canada we have our Thanksgiving in October so there’s more time between turkey meals 😊. Also, where I live in the maritimes, lobster, scallops and crab are very popular!! Merry Christmas!! ❤

Top load!
We have finger foods Christmas Eve and it was my grandpa’s tradition back to make homemade pizza and cream puffs. We do that sometimes but we change it up. This year we are having Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, broccoli, rolls and pie.

I had a front loader and didn’t care for them at all. I gave it away and bought myself a top loader. Too, I LOVE videos like this. They’re real life, things that people really do talk about. You two are awesome! ❤

Like Bunky, I’m not good with peeling garlic, but I recently got a ‘silicone garlic tube thingy’ (technical term) that is AMAZING! You put the garlic in it and roll it on the counter. The garlic skin comes off so easy! I’ll never do it any other way.

Y’all are so cute! ❤ Hair looks good! Idk what we’re doing Christmas food wise. We missed Friendsgiving bc our amazing friend amazing cook was sick :( So I think me, my son and neighbors are doing Christmas dinner. Yay!! There will be ham, turkey ( my Texas butt wants brisket 😂😂) lots of sides, amazing baked goods.. but most importantly a lot of love 💕 ❤💕❤️ Wishing y’all a very Merry Christmas!!!
