Need someone to tell me if my HDTV is messed up and if I need to take it back. Lot of static on purple/blue seems. Bad tv?

I had a Sharp 60LE832 and I took it back after a week due to the same problem. I ended up with a Samsung 60" 6420 and it is a night and day difference compared to the sharp. I have DirecTV HD, XBOX 360 and a Panasonic Blu-Ray player all fed to my Yamaha AV via HDMI and they all look amazing on the Sammy, and they all had that "noise" on the Sharp.

If the static is not in-motion when you pause the DVR, then the static is compression noise in the signal, and not being contributed by the tv.
