To restrict or lock access to drive or a folder for any user account or users group right click on disc or folder, choose properties and security.
Click edit to add permissions for a volume or folder.
Add... and type user or users group name then click check names. If you don't know a name click advanced, find now and pick a name from a list, then confirm.
In permissions for authenticates Users you can allow or deny permission to modify, read, execute or list contents for a drive or folder.

does that also work for restricting access by other boot partitions or only by other useraccounts on that OS?
Like, if you do this, will I not have access to that volume if I boot with an Ubuntu Dongle?

Hello, does this work on Volume Control?
I have been trying to figure out how to lock acesses to volume for guest users (such as kids).
