Here in New York/Long Island area we do not pronounce our R’s like the rest of the United States. Much of the northeast is like this. I always tell other Americans that we are the ones who speak better English. 😂

Liz, if you live in America and you say 'Park your car " dropping the "r", Americans would assume that you said "Pack your car" because that's how it would sound to them.

I know you’re doing your best with an American accent, inserting the r and all that, but you don’t sound American at all. It’s worse on the ears than a New Jersey accent, which itself isn’t even rhotic!
