Better than a Highlander? | 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Review

There are plenty of three-row crossovers to choose from, but the Pathfinder offers appealing style on top of everyday usability.

The Nissan Pathfinder has been around for a long time, in many different forms. What was once a body-on-frame SUV has swapped back and forth between that layout and being a front-wheel-drive (FWD) crossover. For 2022, Nissan keeps the crossover format but adds plenty of rugged styling.

I think reported cargo space is wrong. with 3rd row down, or with both 2nd and 3rd rows down, this is bigger than both Pilot and Highlander. If you see them back to back, you will know. I think the reported number by manufacturers are based on the different measurement method

Your the first review that said the Pathfinder drives sluggish, are you comparing to the Maxima because there not in the same class. Your better of doing a comparison. 0 to 60 is not that important, merging into traffic and passing is more important, which you didn't cover.

What gets me, is C&D ran it to 60 in 6.7. Motor week ran an AWD in 7.6. Is the AWD that much heavier? More electronics from all the drive modes, I guess. Could be more electronically neutered. Weather temps, tires pressure and other factors do come into play. But almost a full second?

One thing I hate on the pathfinder is that they gave you an outdated GPS. I was so disappointed on my SL 2018 version. But I like the rest of the car.
