Tried this myself. It can't be done because the thermae pitch shift is created by altering the clock for the BBD. Lvx doesn't respond in the right way. The two things that can do it are the line6 helix Adriatic - though you will need a modulation source - and the eventide rose - also now the h90.

But - put the pitch block in the pre location then modulate the pitch with a square lfo will get you closer. I used two modulations - one for the octave up and down, then one to turn it on and off to give the delay at pitch. It's a completely different thing of course because you don't get the speed change, but it opens up other possibilities- - like eg. reverse thermae.

A valiant effort Nick! I think it shows a) what an amazingly well designed pedal Thermae is... And b) how well designed and intuitive the LVX is and how easy it is to get some incredible sounds out of it. Brilliantly explained again nick, talking us through what you are actually doing is like gold dust.

Just started watching your videos this week. Thank you for the deep dives.
You may have already covered this and I haven’t come across it yet. Right before the Big Sky MX came out I picked up the Strymon Timeline, Big Sky and Mobius. I decided to send them back and i picked up the Big Sky MX and was going to wait for a new timeline and Mobius but now the Meris LVX has caught my eye and I’m trying to decide what to do. I was wondering what you might do in my situation? I am fairly new to the pedal world and not very knowledgeable.
Thanks again for the videos and insight. ❤

Another brilliant LVX video Nick, thank If you can demo how your followers can find and upload patches to their LVXs that would be awesome.

If CB ever does a Thermae mkii with stereo, I’m sure it’ll be expensive because these BBD chips are each like $30 from what I’ve heard, and you’d need 8 of them like Meraki has, but even at $600-700 I think CB would still sell a ton.

Really good video! Would love to see an atempt to re-create the Chasebliss mood with the lvx looper but not sure it is possible

Love your videos Nick - your deep dives help a lot. Any chance have you tried the Mod Audio Dwarf? And if so - what were your thoughts on it in comparisons to the LVX?

Cowabunga let’s go! What do you think does the LVX pull off a ‘thermae’?? What else could I try and replicate on the LVX on the next video??

Curious to see how well it does the pitch shifting of the Hedra

Almost forgot to watch this here completely. Very good demo for the LVX 👍👍👏👏
By the way, if you ever get a Thermae again, I would love if you would do such a five part demo for the Thermae how you did for the RMC. 🙌🙏

how about the chase bliss mood or habit, just to see how versatile the looper on the LVX is :D

It’s definitely close. Seems like you could get more creative with the LVX

I will say really Great effort. But No no and nope. I def would NOT check that box. I own both. It’s a very beautiful sounding pedal that absolutely does it’s own special thing that cannot be replicated by any other pedal
