Just came across your channel and this is great material. I'm excited. I went to my local photo center and placed the Sony 6400 on layaway so, I'll be retiring from the iPhone soon and been watching a bunch of reviews/setups and feel like your vids are very easy to understand. Especially, for beginners. Just subbed, continue the great content.

I am using panasonic G9 and Olympus 40-150 2.8 to shoot soccer games. I am still struggling with the autofocus, and I am thinking that the poor ND filter I've bought is one of the causes of that. Do you think it is possible? I can't believe that the camera+lens set is the problem.

Quick question - do you ever use AUTO ISO? I like the idea, but shooting outside sometimes and changing from shooting in the shade to in the sun, it works well just something doesn’t look so smooth the transition. Thanks!

Hey mate, thanks heaps for these tips. Your channel has helped me a lot with my amateur sports filming (actually, surfing sport). I use a Panasonic G85 in AF-C mode (with tracking focus) and it works great. However, I have a minor question- if you don't mind... In my case, when shooting from the land (surfers in the water catching waves)- do I need to re-focus (pressing half shutter button) every time a different surfer catches a wave (although I remain at the same position waiting for one or another surfer to drop in) to retain and lock the focus over and over again ? .... or is the camera smart enough to keep and do the auto-focus by having me just to press the rec (fully pressed shutter button) ? By re-focusing every time, I'm afraid to loose the action. I hope my question makes sense. :) Thanks legend!

Let’s say hypothetically :) you are running a two camera set up, one for the more cinematic shots on a small tripod/monopod and another on a tripod 12’ up panning the entire field/game of soccer/football. For the one up in the air, any thoughts on keeping players in focus as the unit is panning and they are moving? Players on same side of field are closer to camera of course, others far away. Prime lens, no zoom other than potential clear image zoom but haven’t used. It seems to jump out of focus randomly even when not panning. Fstop currently at 10.

Great video! I shoot canon and use a combo of back button focus (for reacquiring) and manual focus. Normally I prioritize single point focus.
