YES! I'm definite on the same page and I made a video about the comments you described in the beginning on my vlog channel a year+ ago.
I get a lot of 'back handed' compliments and I think people don't realize how malicious these comments are. They pretend they are giving you 'constructive critic' when its really an insult in disguise.
I used to see the same names pop up over and over with the "your pretty but *insert comment destroying the overall technique or person in video*" on every video I uploaded.
They want you to crack and make a fool of yourself in the comments.. the solutions are: delete, block and/or ignore. It's hard.

If I had to guess I would say that you have really awesome parents. You just seem like you were taught how to be a genuine, good person which these days is rare for our youth. I sound like an old person... But good job to your mom and dad for raising such a cool individual.

Thank you for being so honest, honestly. It is very hard, I've had a few negative comments. Thankfully they had a moment of guilt and removed the comment themselves. You've got yourself a new subscriber for being so honest. Look forward to more of your videos! :)

This is very helpful. :) I've been looking all day for videos like this and you're the first one who actually warns people and makes you step and think is this something I want. And you're so professional! I still want to try fashion/makeup vlogging but this video is actually prepping me. :) If I actually do get out there I'll keep your tips in mind!

This is amazing! I am trying to start a YouTube channel but I have found that it is so hard to stay true to myself in them and you do such a great job doing it you have become an inspiration to me. :) <3

I really loved watching this. I have watched so many guru channels, and a few of them I could just tell are fake and would not be nice girls in real life. You, however, seem so real and so true, and I just know if I met you in real life, you would be just as sweet as you seem! So thanks for the genuine videos!

You're so right, I HATE when people on the internet insult people, then try to claim that it's 'constructive' criticism, or that they're trying to 'help' people. It's just such BS & it amazes me that they can't even see how transparent they are. Because really, I mean, common sense pretty much dictates that people don't generally react favorably when they're spoken to in a way that's condescending, patronizing, pretentious, holier-than-thou, elitist, or any of the other ways the people that claim to be 'helping' act. So they just need to cut the 'I'm trying to help' crap, because no one with common sense is buying it. Or, you get the ones that are like 'it's my OPINION, & I don't see why I should have to sugar coat things', & it's like, come on now, there's a world of difference between 'sugar coating' and exercising a little bit of tact & common sense. But really, pretty much most of my favorite gurus are the lesser known ones. Alot of the really popular ones, it gets to the point where their videos stop being educational anymore. They'll do these videos where they'll share these common sense 'tips' that everyone's heard a zillion times & act like it's some new thing they just came up with, or they'll do videos about candles or hauls, or whatever, & I know alot enjoy watching that, but to me it's just not educational.

That's totally fine that you feel that way and no one is under any obligation to sub or watch me unless they want to. I make videos as often and as much as I feel like, and whenever I have asked 99% said they liked the fact I upload everyday and make long videos, but I can respect the fact i'm not for everyone and that's fine.

As for what you said about twitter, as you said it may have "come across" that way, but that's just it, when typing you can't know how I meant something

Really helpful video, I have just recently started filming videos to go alongside my blog and am still finding my feet a little. I totally agree that is important to talk about and film about the things that you love and be yourself :)
