Switch Dock Blinking Green (Software Bugs Issue - Reasons Why It Happens And The Solutions). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix Switch Dock blinking green.
There are several reasons your switch doc is blinking green. Here are the main ones and their solutions.
There’s a software bug.
Software bugs can mess with your device’s hardware components. In this case, they result in the blinking green light of death. To fix this, power cycle your Switch. Here’s how:
Unplug your dock’s HDMI cable, then unplug the power cable.
Leave your dock unplugged for at least 30 seconds. While waiting, inspect your power and HDMI cables to ensure they’re not damaged.
Plug in the HDMI and power cable and check if the blinking continues.
Check for Outdated software.
Outdated software is the next culprit. Here’s how to fix this issue:
Undock your Switch, go to the "Settings" menu, and check if there are pending updates to your Switch.
Download the latest software versions, then restart your Switch.
Check if the blinking persists.
A damaged dock could also cause this blinking.
Finally, your dock could flash the green light because it’s damaged. You can troubleshoot this by directly plugging in your Switch. If it charges, consider replacing the dock. You can order a new one from Nintendo or Amazon.
