I love how she just walks on stage, adjusts her chin rest for like half a second and then immediately starts playing. No one last moment concentration or deep breathing or even physical preparation, just already being in the zone and starting the music like it is the easiest piece in the world. And THEN executing it so masterfully. How on earth.

The words ‘Paganini’ and ‘play along’ do not belong in the same sentence!

Edit: wow this has blown up! Thanks for all the likes and comments everyone XD

“Play along.”
I really appreciate you having faith in me.

The person who made this video has a really good sense of humor. They tried to tell you to play along with a Paganini piece. They even put in sheet music to make it seem convincing!

4:32 amazing how there's a moment of silence before the audience start applauding because they had to take in what they just witnessed.

I actually heard this years ago and I had goosebumps. But i never remembered her name (only remembered 'epic violinist in a purple dress'). When i saw her on TwoSet, i thought she looked really familiar then searched for this again on YT. I cant tell you how mindblown i was to find out that it was in fact Hilary Hahn who played this. Im not a classical musician but man, to give goosebumps to an unpracticed ear is living proof that she is so skilled at her instrument.

4:15 - 4:31 as a guitarist and someone who’s never touched a violin, that part reminded me of an epic sweep picking solo ending, and I loved it.

this looks like it was filmed on a potato but you can still hear how crisp and clean her playing is

I remember Brett everytime I see a left hand Pizz. 😁

She made caprice look so easy that someone like me might actually think it's easy which I know is not. Yep, she's awesome. 😍😍😍

I saw Hilary Hahn play at a violin camp when I was around 5th or 6th grade and she was an awesome person as well as an absolute virtuoso. I'm glad she didn't bust this out or I might've just stopped playing violin altogether.

I specifically love Hillary Hahn's interpretation of the first variation for some reason. I've never heard that part played in such a clean, beautiful, and satisfying way before. It's the way she can play those high notes without so much as a squeak. Amazing.
