I drove through set in Edmonton. Looked like they put lots of effort and detail. Plus you can see the Alberta legislature clear as day in one shot of the trailer

I was wondering if we’d find out about the favor Bill owed Joel! I’m so excited for those extra details and unanswered questions the show might provide!

I've always said that poor adaptations usually lack respect for the source material.... and making a good adaptation requires respect most of all.

Please adapt Part 2 as well. I fucking loved Part 2.

There's a great opportunity to integrate the lead up to Part 2, into season 1, in a much better way than the game.
There's also SO much content hinted at in the game, that could be shown in a way that wouldn't work in game.

Is it even out yet? I'm hoping it's good and faithful to the games, but lets not jump the gun and say you've cracked "the secret to adapting video games" until the reviews are in. It might be totally perfect, but we haven't even seen the first episode yet.

I’ve never played the game but I’m sorta interested in the show. Production value is the only thing I like about so far

The language used referring to 'the game' leaves hopes. Oh, no, 75% if the way in 'all the games'. Shame.

Why do the writers/showrunners on these things always look exactly like this?

Tell the story that was told!
Fill in gaps? Awesome!
Change the story for artistic license? Fuck that!
This is a great analysis of how to do an adaptation right.
Put it this way: No matter how great the soup is, if i ordered pizza i don't care how good the soup is, i ordered pizza!
I want to get pizza when i order pizza, not soup!

They don't even have the same actors from the game how can this show be any good ?

Oh, you mean like picking the right people? You can have the best writing in existence, but if the actors aren't believable in the role, then you already lost.

These guys can't tell anyone what the secret is until we see if they managed to not shit on TLOU. Period.
