I think Savanna’s passion for a different career is exciting and commendable. I wish her sisters weren’t so condescending to what excites her.

I feel absolutely awful for the sister who wants to be an astronaut. The way her other two sisters side-eyed her & each other was just cruel, & you could tell that the sister could feel it happening. They showed her no support, only the attempt to repress ridicule as they were all on camera. She looked so uncomfortable after. I hope you get to the moon. I hope your dream comes true.

I hope the daughter that liked the concept of being an astronaut makes it to the moon.

Oh goodness, poor Savanna. Sitting there between her 2 siblings talking about being an astronaut, etc….it was so difficult to watch. Her sisters ignored her, and looked like they couldn’t wait to get away from her. It seemed to me she may be on the spectrum.

No wonder Savanna hates dance. I'm sure they've belittled her aspirations until she completely turned away from it :( it's really sad to see and i hope her family can be kinder even if they don't understand

Why do children have to "do things 100%"? Why can't we remove that pressure & let them enjoy it? Passion is crushed that way. Eventually, over time, it will be crushing. Even if they become the best, they will never feel good enough. Look at how many children that are deemed brilliant in school suffer later in life. I was one of those children, & the pressure nearly killed me. However, I am genuinely passionate about academics, now pursuing a PhD in Anthropology. If I didn't have this passion, the pressure would definitely have killed me.

I am incredibly impressed how polite and gentle Olivia and Max handle their controversies. Most adults cannot do it that good.
Edited: that well.

It's fantastic to see soo many young boys/men doing dance. All kids should be encouraged to do some form of dancing

Poor kid. Max why do you like to dance. My family is a dancing family. Not I love to do it, I have to do it because that's what my family wants. And Olivia sounds difficult to take. Like she's been told she's the best and that's what her self worth is linked to. Look at the way she shuts down Max when he tells her they're 3rd not 2nd. Why do such young kids have to be the best of the best? Let the poor kids have a childhood. Plenty of time for huge amounts of pressure to be heaped on them when they're a bit older.

This is great, finally a produced show that highlights the positive aspects of ballroom dancing...no drama...just good vibes! Thank you for making this!

I spent about 20 years training ballroom dancing, I was quite successful as a dancer, later as a coach and a choreographer. I had to quit due to multiple knee injuries. I have worked as a compere at competitions for years and at present I am trying to "come out of retirement" and re-train as a swing dancer. I must say that I have a lot of doubts regarding the children's adult costumes, make-up and moves, all of which are omnipresent in the mainstream ballroom dancing.

Nothing wrong with dancing and having fun. But these kids are way too precocious for their age . Too much is placed on winning and competing in this world. Very sad. We need God to come back more than ever .

No one talks about the price of being in these competitions for the clothes for the lessons. I’m sure that the parents except the ones that are well to do that are in the dancing industry. I can’t afford it but the other ones probably have to take away from the rest of the family to put into these acts it’s a little sad.❤

Max and Olivia look like such Perfect little avatars and have the grace to match .There enthusiasm, humor and how well they work together is very impressive to me at such a young age !

I think Olivia has a promising future! She never created a single excuse as to why they placed the why they did. Yet her partner has loads of reasons and gets a bit chippy for not being first! Yes their are judges that are going to be more critical. But I can promise you they will only become more critical the older you get with way more competition. I Wrestled for 17 years nonstop on every level imaginable in 3 different types of Wrestling freestyle, collegiate, and Greco Roman. I learned before I was 10 that if I want to win I had to train harder practice more than anyone I was going to wrestle. So that when I Wrestle at the end of wrestling match their was absolutely no question who won! And with what ever free time I had I would go and record all of our rival matches to study them! As well as every referee that could be potentially refining me. Each referee and judge are different but I had all of their differences memorized each year. So I guess what I am saying is the better you are the less you have to worry about the judges. And the more times you have to only concentrate on your dancing. Great job to them all regardless of their place and performance.

Too bad Max’s father screwed up that couple. The way he talk to his son was disgraceful you could tell Olivia was not into it and I’m sure that’s the reason for the break up. If I have to face this idiot, supposedly professional dancer I would’ve pulled my kid away from this guy as fast as possible, he ruined his friends chances by his insistence. He’s a kid the way he was talking to him embarrassing. Him like that in public? He looked rather pleased that they had broken up. The guy is a jerk. The mom knew it. The all the moms knew it. I was watching those two ladies listen to him the way he was berating that poor kid has been.
