As a person with this phobia because of the trauma i have with dogs I hate it when people say im scared of everything just because i have a simple phobia it doesn’t mean im scared of everything it means i have adrenaline rushes, panic attacks, asmtha attacks, etc.. many dogs have chased me for no reason when im just trying to exist i have no problem with people walking their dogs just use a leash and I have no problem with service dogs even if its off the leash it’s only the aggressive dogs that I don’t like. It doesn’t mean I can’t have favourite dog breeds or ones I feel safe around because the only ones I feel safe around are golden retrievers, husky’s, and Pomeranians. It’s people who say “it’s only a dog” are the problem not the dogs. Raise your dog to behave and maybe I’ll feel safe next time.

I like dogs but when they get too close to me or try to jump or bark i get scared but depends on the height and breed if is a chow chow I'm def running away. . .never judge them by their looks 😟
