Hey your video really helped me alot as i'm in East Texas and I had to budget cost for my new property. There's not a lot of information online which would break down costs.
Here is my experience in 2024
- I had electricity already available in a neighboring property. I decided to run 2 poles which the 2nd one had the transformer on it. Famers electric charged me just under $5000 for this but also game me a $3000 allowance to use. So total came to roughly $2100.

Then after this i just had to pay an electrician to come and hook up my electrical panel to a temporary pole. Hope this helps others.

In 1973 my parents ran a line 2200 feet to the house pad. It was $2, 200 back then. And that included insulated wire. Last year PGE replaced all 7 poles. The job foreman told me just the new house pole and transformer was $42, 500 and to build the line today would be about $350, 000 !!!!

The electric company for my lot is not going to charge me anything as long as I run the conduit underground to their pole.
