You'll also be surprised to learn how much of a role they play in soloing on guitar, too.
Triads also make up your 7th chords and Slash Chords
Master your Triads- Maj, Min, Aug, Dim. and watch your playing improve!

You hit the nail on the head there. I've been learning Everything in a very isolated way. Mechanically going through my scales, CAGED shapes, arpeggios & triads. Watching this video was like a little eureka moment going off in my head. Being self taught is a real discipline but having a good teacher can help you see the bigger picture and understand it. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

By far the best Triad discussion that I have come onto- at least for my liking.

I know this lesson has been up on YouTube for several years, but I just now found it. I have just started learning about triads for playing second guitar in a worship band, and this material is just what the doctor ordered. Thank you!

Excellently presented! I've been playing for 57 years, and teaching for over 30, and I learned some new stuff here! Thanks. Music is INFINITE, so there's ALWAYS a new way of seeing something or doing something differently!

This was a very interesting lesson! I've seen triad lessons here but none explaining the Major-minor relationship any better then this!

I don't understand the meaning with these chords. Most of them are just half chords from the full bar chord right? And it sound very bright and not as full. Its also harder to play because you often have to mute other strings around the triad.

Wouldn't the first position G that you showed also be an E minor seven?
