I love it when the video is straight to the point and short. Exactly what I needed!

Straight forward and to the point. Thanks!

Very helpful. I did the first test just to discover one of outlet wires are faulty

Wish you had showed doing it on the four prong outlet. I don’t know what you mean by testing both legs and testing across. Guess I’ll go to another video.

240 is deadly. Marcus is a pro. All others should be wearing insulated gloves. I did something similar to this when installing a baseboard heater, made an errant tap with my probe and blew the tip off with a pop that made my ears ring and probably scarred my retinas. Be very careful with this video.

You have your red probe plugged in the ground(common) plug. Black goes in com, red goes in batt for standardized measurements

Tested mine and I got 124 for individual test and 243 for both combine I’m guessing that’s fine since it’s not below the numbers you mentioned

Can we see a video for testing the thermal cutoff switch for the dryer? I remember the setting for the meter but want to see which spots to test and how to tell if bad

does it matter which color probe you stick to the neutral?

What if I get no reading from the neutral to the hot but get one from the ground to the hot?

When testing both bottom legs on a 3 prong, I’m getting a reading of 240. Can you help me understand why it differs from the 200 as stated in your video?

This video leaves too many questions unanswered. The comments before mine demonstrate that. Oy

I just replaced the 3 prong Receptacle. When I check each side with the neutral. Each side has 120, but when I check the cross( positive and negative) at the aame time it does not say 220. It zeros out or says 3. What could be the problem?

Why is the red probe in the “COM” side?

When testing a 3prong. You get 110-120 on each side, but dead across the 2. What could cause that?

Do we have to have the power on or off before doing this

What’s wrong with my dryer plug if it doesn’t test 240 just 120

On one of the legs I get 0. Does that mean it’s broken

What if you git 120 volts but when you test both legs together you git nothing? Outlet or breaker?
