How fold mountains are formed

Subduction is actually when a oceanic plate meets a continental plate because the oceanic plater is denser than the continental plate. Therefore, the oceanic plate is forced or pulled beneath the continental plate.

Isn't the Oceanic Crust more dense? I wouldn't say that it is thinner and weaker but rather more dense. Because it is more dense the Oceanic Crust is subducted underneath the continental crust.

The Rocky Mountains aren't anywhere near two plates. They are in the middle of the North American plate.
