Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "No one should declare a Muslim a kaafir, even if such a Muslim has done wrong and erred, until the evidence is established against him and the truth is clarified to him. Verily, he whose Islam is established with certainty cannot be declared a kaafir because of doubt (it can only be done with certainty). Rather, he cannot be called a non-Muslim except after establishing the evidence against him and removing all misconceptions that he might have."

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It cannot be said to a specific person, O disbeliever, unless proof is established against him and it becomes clear to him that what he is doing constitutes disbelief."

No one may be judged to be a kafir or fasiq except the one whom the Quran and Sunnah indicate is a kafir or fasiq.

Determining whether someone is a kafir or a fasiq is not up to us, rather it is up to Allah, may He be exalted, and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). This is one of the rulings of Shari`ah that is to be referred to the Quran and Sunnah, so we should be very careful and base our judgement on clear proof.

Describing a specific person with disbelief (Kufr) is not an easy matter as it can lead to bad consequences in this life and in the Hereafter.

Takfeer is a serious matter; it is impermissible for individual people to make Takfeer. There are many religious texts warning against Takfeer and the gravity of taking it lightly. It is impermissible for Muslims to be lax in this regard, and any disputes in it must be referred to scholars.

I see before the khawarij madhab follower on air making takfir of you brother Faris. He was so pleased of himself, what a dire mistake he was making. May Allah guide him away from such extremism back to Quran and Sunnah. Khawarijite are promoting their deviance full time during this Palestine genocide to try and misguided people to their cause of fitnah.

We must be extremely cautious about describing any Muslim as a disbeliever (Kafir), for one of the gravest of sins is for a Muslim to describe his Muslim brother as a disbeliever when he is innocent of that.

Can we take judging others’ faith lightly? It is not permissible to take lightly the matter of judging someone to be a kafir or fasiq
