I would really love if you could do an update video with benchmarks to this. I am thinking about buying one of these, but am unsure about battery life on standby / hibernate or if there are any other problems with standby (as with other, adapter based solutions for ssd-replacements)

How does this work? do it replace ur starting initial disk in your computer and give u more storage. because my Mac air early 2017 only has 121gb and I'm trying to buy more storage for the starting disk if its possible and was wondering if this product is what that does.?

FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF ALL DOUBT - NOT NECESSARILY PERFORMANCE ENHANCER!!! This sadly screwed up the "performance" of my MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina (early 2015) I bought the 1TB version of Aura Pro X2 SSD upgrade and after installing the performance dropped noticeably. When I contacted OWC support they said Regrettably the speeds you are experiencing is an expected result from your Mac. Your Mac was the very first series of Mac that began using PCIe drives, as such, the MacBookPro12, 1 mainboard predates PCIe3.0, and has instead a PCIe2.0 bus. The two iterations are compatible with each other, however you won't reach the full potential, in this case speeds, of both devices unless both can utilize PCIe3. In short, placing our PCIe3 SSD into your PCIe2 computer will force the PCIe3 SSD to operate at PCIe2 .... i might have chosen not to upgrade had I known this, but work is too busy and life is short! SO BE AWARE!!!! THIS "UPGRADE" TAKES PERFORMANCE DOWN ON SOME MACS ;-(
