We Finally Know Why The Olsen Twins Aren't On Fuller House

One of the most exciting revivals is definitely the Netflix series Fuller House, which brought most of the original cast of Full House back to the small screen for more family-friendly shenanigans. We've known for quite some time, however, that Michelle Tanner would be absent, given that the Olsen twins declined to take part in the revival. Now, thanks to Fuller House executive producer Bob Boyett, we finally have the real reason why Mary-Kate and Ashley won't be sharing the role of Michelle one more time.

They cling together like they've been abused or exploited. It's none of my business but they do seem like broken girls for years now. They hate cameras, they're reclusive. Something happened. They're in my prayers.

I don't know if anybody remembers, most probably forgot by now. But Mary-Kate and Ashley was forced into acting growing up by their parents. Their parents made bank off those girls, and they loved that money. When the girls turned 18 they finally had complete control over their money, the parents at that point did not. But the banks did not have all the money saved up like it should have. The girls took their parents to court over it. I'm not sure what came of that, I just don't remember. But the girls had complete control over their own lives when they turned 18, as well as their careers and the parents did not. So it's no wonder they don't like acting. They were forced into it as kid's growing up from money hungry parents, I think mostly the dad. They got screwed out of hard earned money, they didn't have a normal childhood. They grew up in the spotlight by force. Had that been you growing up how would you feel? Needless to say I don't blame them.

I also heard that Mary Kate really was going to do it, but they had scheduled to film during fashion week, and she asked for them to reschedule the filming but they refused and of course she's not going to miss the most important week of the year for her main business for a show she never even liked doing in the first place. I thought it was so rude how the show made jabs at them as though they did something wrong when they didn't.

Don’t replace them, just let the show be. It’s good the way it’s rolling right now, and if they do try and replace Michelle, it will be awkward knowing the fact that all of them have been doing this show together for YEARS

The Olson Twins didn't just play Michelle, they were in movies and had their own franchise since early on. Books, tv shows, products.... those kids were BUSY to say the least. If they don't want to come back as performers, I don't blame them!

It makes sense to me. Ashley worked for 17 as an actress and Mary Kate worked for 25 years to make fans happy. They are in a totally different industry now and are finally doing what's best for them. After their past drug and bulimic issues, they can hardly go anywhere without people insulting them. Let them be happy in fashion and business.
