The Mystery Behind Athena's Creation of Olive Trees

According to Greek mythology, Athena, the goddess of wisdom and warfare, created the olive tree as a gift for her citizens in Athens. As the myth goes, there was a fierce competition between Athena and Poseidon, the god of the sea, over who would become the patron god of the city of Athens.
