I don’t often comment but I do try to alway watch your fantastic videos. For me the coverage of your wonderful journey and the spirit in which you do it is so much more interesting and enjoyable to watch than the ones where there is a camera crew and back-up support always on hand. Keep it up and the very best of luck with your continuing journey. 👍👍👍🏍

People put in the mouth coca leaves to reduce altitude sickness (soroche). You can buy in São Pedro do Atacama, is not ilegal. I and my wife crossed Paso de Jama like that. Until you get adapted you must doing things like you were in the moon, slowly, drinks plent of water. never Cross any road in the desert at night!

High altitude is no joke! I remember being short of breath just walking across a parking lot at one of the mountain passes in Colorado here in the U.S. It was at about 12, 000ft. (3600m) then the tram ride up to the top of the peak was a couple thousand more feet above that! The air gets pretty thin up there.

Hope you both feel better after your rest and get to enjoy the rest of the sights fully. As always, great video of your adventure. Thank you for taking us all along with you!

I've already crossed Paso Jama, it's really fantastic. much used by Brazilians, you will come across dozens of motorcycles on this route. Northern Argentina is beautiful too. You will go through purmamarca, tilcara and if you want to go down a bit, you can go to Los Cobre, ride the train at over 4100 meters. Guys, there's a lot to see in the Argentine altiplano (puna): pumice stone fields, cono de arita, everything is crazy. Paso Hito Cajon, it is less known and more challenging. I follow a couple who have just traveled this road, passing by hot springs, flamingo lakes (with flamingos😂) towards the salar de uYuni in Bolivia. 400km off road can be a big problem indeed. In Bolívia you gonna take much more off roads.

Takes 6 weeks to fully accustom to the height-but you do get used to it.Plenty of liquids as per usual. It's why I moved to Medellin from Quito
