I can guarantee you those brushes are still not cleaned, not being judgy, soak them in a solution with dawn and vinegar, the dawn breaks all the oils and the vinegar sanitizes the brushes then leave them out in the sun for a day and your brushes are then fully cleaned

As a makeup artist, you only ever use the tips of the brushes' bristles so we only clean the end of the brush! Getting water farther down and on the handle will actually cause the glue in the brush to break down and make the brush fall apart faster. She's doing this exactly right!
