As a person who has mainly played Deadlock in ranked, can confirm icebox is one of the best maps for her. You also hit the mark of how Deadlock works Teets. She was made to punish common actions. Pick up an orb, stunned. Dash to make space, stunned. Planting spike in a default area, stunned. Point is, you place her sound sensors in spots where both attackers and defenders will make noise.

Icebox is kind of a wacky map, in the words of the Goated Valorant coach Woohoojin, "Icebox's map minigame is Post plant and Plant denial."
Because of this duelists, among which only phoenix has a molly, struggle on this map, jett used to be the pick but has less value due to the changes on B main removing an up draft spot. Reyna can also work if you're an aim demon and good at securing picks and getting out like Aspas with reyna's dismiss.

A no duelist comp is honestly decent on icebox because of how the sites are designed, as pushing out of site to take space is usually too risky due to outside of site being large open areas with no cover, (Snowman for B and Defender Spawn for A).

EG's comp really show the potential of no duelist comp with a core of Deadlock, KJ, and Viper. With Kayo and Gekko as extra help as they both have mollies and wingman is great to plant down easier.
KJ's util holds down Mid, viper wall default goes A and Deadlock Wall on B which can be thrown round start and is a massive stall tool on pistol or eco rounds as seen in round 1 of EG vs G2
Furthermore their comp even on attack had the benefit of potent ult cycling. You have annihilation and thrash which are strong on entry or post plant, Then you have NULL/cmd which is great for site entry, then Lock Down and Viper's Pit which are both OP ults in general.

Deadlock may be new meta on Icebox, because of the Icebox itself. There are a lot of fixed places on Icebox, that Deadlock can abuse with her ult and gravnade. For example on B site as Teets even described.

I'm trying to main deadlock and I feel ascent and icebox are probably her best maps. In icebox, I feel like I can solo stall yellow on B site. On ascent she is absolutely cracked imo. Since both sites have multiple places where enemies must drop to get into site (like A heaven, B lane, B door), you just place sensors where they would drop and you get people stunned 80% of the time. You can place walls on interesting spots like inside A site to stop attackers on their way to the button and defenders after destroying the door, B lane to funnel them into stairs, A heaven for a stall on retake and sealing a catwalk rush easily. You can also get pretty creative with sonic sensors on the door buttons, kinda like trapping people with cypher, only difference is that sound is your "cage" to trick them into tripwires.
