O2 Sensor Issue? Just Replace It With A Plug

Replacing my O2 sensors only cost about 60 bucks a piece, and from everything I read yeah the computer doesn't mix the fuel air ratio right and then you get sucking mileage and bad performance I'd rather pay 60 bucks for a new sensor.

I modified my Camaro exhaust and was told to use Spark Plug spacers in the spots where the O2 sensors went and then screw the O2 sensors in. That would clear the engine light. Surprisingly, it worked. If I drove on the highway for a long trip, the engine light would come on due to the exhause.

That's why you have to have more than one source. When you get your information from. Whether he's joking or not, some people take him serious and do that stupid stuff. Is bad enough people who have difficulties learning and you're gonna make it harder for them.

That’s the downstream o2 sensor, all it does is monitor the effectiveness of the catalytic converter. Eliminating that one won’t hurt anything, if it was the upstream sensor (before catalytic converter) it would make your car go to a default fuel map or “open loop” and not run as well or as efficient as it would in “closed loop” where it monitors exhaust gasses for optimal air fuel mixtures.
