My gateway drug to kpop back in the day - besides just electo-pop - was Deep House and R&B/Soul even if I hadn't realised it. SHINee's Odd album and the entirety of Jonghyun's discography - May he rest in Power - were my first true loves and they remain - mostly - unbeaten.

Though not a genre I'm a sucker for traditional instrumentation in kpop (think StrKdz's Thunderous or Lim Kim's Generasian album). I'll also kill for a good ballad (Imi Oneun Sori, One of These Nights, Knock On, Breath, Four Seasons- oh damn the sm bias is showing 🙀) or orchestral, epic elements (Xia's Flower, Onew's Blue). Am also a huge retro stan which has been great these past years (1 of 1, Mago, La Di Da, Home;Run, Bad Love, Retro 😆)

I really just went full shawol having to think of songs off the top of my head 😂 Also all of the songs in the video were just top notch 👌💕 These are so well edited as well. Gotta admire the dedication to your craft 😩
