Wow this really helped me. I thought my Ally wasn’t reading the disk. The only thing that was different was it reads it as (E:) New Volume instead of SD card. Thank you sir!

Yooo thanks so much! i was struggling for an hour and thirty minutes. Just got a new 2 TB micro SD and formatted it on the steam deck oled first and then I put it into the rog ally X and it wouldnt read anything... I regretted putting it in the steam deck at first but now it's all good. thanks again so much.

I use an external extension cable . Its 5cm long and can be connected into the sd card slot . Then i taped it on the back as far off from the fans as possible . Works perfectly

helps a lot, but I when I put in, my dog doesnt read it, only works when I connect with external conector and sd adapter

When I click delete volume it says it can’t be completed nor will it let me even format or anything and I have another ss that doesn’t even pop up in there😔

Yes but...what about you Will LOSE everything you had inside the Micro SD card...games, folders, emulators... everything....It is a shame.

This is for those who probably only have the sd card problem but the real issue in ROG ally is the card reader.
I've already revived my SD Card and even bought another one, and the volume appears on "my computer" but it still won't read it as it should
