Guga ordering a steak from a food court might be his craziest experiment yet

Hey Guga! Colombian folk here.

Thank you for that review of Don Jediondo, it was really transparent.
As locals we don't like it either, on the mall restaurants at Colombia that's the one place where nobody wants to go, the food is overpriced, underseasoned and overall terrible.
(Also, what's up with those curly fries? we Colombians never eat anything with curly fries or mash potatos like that)

that place is terrible, has a bad rep, no one in their right mind would buy there.

Edit: WHAT? NO WAY THAT'S AN AREPA, I THOUGHT IT WAS MASHED POTATOS, IT LOOKS TERRIBLE, THAT'S A PREFABRICATED PLASTIC AREPA, YOOOO

Im not sure if you've ever been to Hawaii, but as someone who grew up in Hawaii i would love to see Guga go to the different islands and try the popular cuisines on each island.

If anyone is wondering, this is at the Dadeland Mall in Miami, it’s a high end mall which is why you’re not seeing some of the more typical food court restaurants

I'm so excited for your trip to Romania! Can't wait for your video!
As an American born Romanian, I would invite you to Chicago to try my grandma's recipes because my favorite of hers are sarmale, zacuscă, găluște de prune, and cozonac.

For street food, keep an eye out for them because sometimes they might be better than restaurants. We're not known for steaks so try our pork, lamb, etc.

Some context on the Colombian restaurant, Don Jediondo is a comedian and his restaurants aren't doing well, now about the food, I know I'm gonna take some heat for this but that's how we eat meat here, thin cuts cook to well done, most of the time salt is the only seasoning, some people add garlic powder or cook them with some onions, sometimes it's marinated in a mix of onions, garlic, peppers, etc so yeah, our stakes aren't good because people is too scared eat something different from well done or add more seasonings because of the "red fluid is blood" bullshit. Personally, Guga has been one of the reasons I started to be more daring eating meat and so far I have found it more enjoyable.

For someone who doesn't 'like chicken', Guga was awfully enthusiastic about the two types of chicken he tried. Also, 9-out-of-10 of these places don't exist in Canada, so no, not everybody loves them.

I think mall food is why malls are clinging to dear life. Last time I was at the mall (in the summer of 2024) the food court always had the most people. There were people meandering around store to store but the food court is what tied it all together imo.

You say Ben's is in every mall across the US... I've never heard of them before. And in the past five years, I've lived in Virginia Beach, Southern Maryland, and Jacksonville.
