This is true. My daughter still uses her 2011 21” iMac every day. My oldest has a 27” 5k which is amazing, but they are able to do very similar things without too many issues on the older one. The 2011 will get replaced very soon. Waiting to see what the new 27” equivalent will be before I do it though.

not gonna lie… those B-Roll shots at the office @ 2:10 made every other iMac look old and robotic compared to the new iMac.

It just looked so fun and lively and the side profile design looks so great.

If this was a monitor it would be considered thin. The fact that there is a whole powerful computer inside is insane!

This thing is so sleek. For me, a desktop computer needs to be extremely powerful, to be able to handle gaming and being an audio workstation, and this thing doesn't cut it for me. But if I was just a casual computer user, this would be on my desk in a heartbeat. Clean design, amazing resolution, vibrant colors, matching peripherals, and no separate tower make this the kind of thing you would expect to see in a modern home office. Unfortunately, I'm not the target market, but I'm excited for the day when something like this can also house state-of-the-art hardware.

I’m with you on the purple. I was one of the… special… people that decided to replace their laptop with an iPad last year, but because I already have this portable device, the new iMac seems to make more sense than a laptop. Bigger screen, desktop macOS that stays at home, and big speakers. Yeah I really want one!

FANTASTIC review. This is one of the few reviews I’ve seen that really acknowledges, embraces, and reviews this machine from the perspective of the demographic this is really aimed for.

I love tech as much as the next person, but most of the reviews I’ve seen so far might acknowledge this isn’t a “pro” machine, but don’t really firmly connect with that perspective or really speak from it.

I’m not even getting this machine myself, but I think it’s a beautiful machine that fills in the gaps for a lot of consumers. Not everything has to cater to pro-level users.

I’m one of the few that wants the Apple pro devices in these bright playful colors. These colors are absolutely gorgeous.
