Minneapolis homeless encampment building yurts for winter

A homeless encampment in the Phillips neighborhood is taking a unique approach to getting ready for winter. They’re raising money to build yurts and built the first ones just in time for the cold storm. Thursday and Friday.

I live in Phillips. The homeless in Minneapolis are so undercounted and they avoid the traditional shelter system for many reasons. They need to build a giant airplane hanger type structure off Hiawatha that can fit like 800 tents inside. Have the national guard do security and logistics. Food tent, medical tent, HQ tent inside. This isn't rocket science but it will cost money. Less money than the hippie's demands for 300k condo per homeless person though.
