Thank you. I was literally about to go crazy without the jams, but this video really helped. The second tip did it for me. I needed to change my speaker output. Thank you so much.

What worked for me. I have speakers, headphones and a VR headset as my output devices. When I changed to anything other than my speakers, Spotify would play no issue. So I went through all my other output options and played a song, and then went back to my speakers (where my issue was) and it played straight away, no more error message.

NONE of these worked for me. I'm going insane. The audio on my laptop when out of whack when I updated my drivers. I even factory reset the whole thing and it's still a mess :(

I was facing issues with playing my imported files (from Local Drive to Spotify). The 3rd option worked like a charm :)

For me, it was the output device that was causing the problem. However, changing the default output/playback device didn't work. What did work was disabling and re-enabling Windows Sonic for Headphones under Spatial Sound when you right click your audio icon in system tray on the taskbar. I'm not sure if it would work vice versa if you had it off before the problem with Spotify happened, but it should be worth a try! Hope this helps someone else! Have a great day listening to music.

For any goXLR users, a recent update for goXLR changed up our inputs. Nothing worked for me until I turned Spotify to default, back to a regular goXLR channel, and then I could finally put it back into my Music input.

Another method you could do is to go to Bluetooth settings > Sound Settings > Scroll down to 'App volume and device preferences' > Choose your Output for Spotify to either your Speaker or Bluetooth headset back and forth until the song on Spotify is played successfully.

Worked for me and hope it does for anyone who has the same issue! Cheers !

To anybody who might be using a VB audio cable set-up (along with voicemeeter) all you need to do is uninstall and reinstall the Audio cable that you were using for your spotify. It works fine for me now - hope this helps somebody <3

Go to "Device Manager > Sounds > VB audio cable A (this is what it was for me) > Uninstall" then redownload the .zip file install the driver again and restart your PC. Relink your spotify with ur voicemeeter and BAM. Issue should be fixed.

Bro been trying to fix this for hours cause of my ocd, tried all other options on my own, but the second option worked for me, with Spotify open you can right click the volume icon in bottom right in desktop, open sound settings, open app volume and device preferences and change the output there specifically for Spotify and that fixed it, then i changed it back to my preferred output device. Thanks man!

That second step of changing the audio output device worked for me. I then switched it back to my headphones and it worked fine. Thanks!

What worked for me, delete the program by going to control panel>uninstall a program>spotify>unistall and go to the microsoft store and dowload it from there. Sign in and boom
