Warcraft chronicles volume 4 came out today. It covers Mists of Pandaria to the end of Shadowlands giving quite a nice summary of the story so far accompanied by some sick art. Does have some flaws, but ey who doesn't!
I hope you'll enjoy ^_^

cool stories but like with most chronicle books I'm not a fan of the retcons, PARTICULARLY of MoP and BFA. Also, the jailer explanation of what he was afraid of his just... LMAOO

BLIZZARD THE ONE STORY WE WOULDNT MIND YOU RETCONNING AND YOU LET US DOWN

The Chronicle books started out with a great premise. I was looking forward to having a reliable, comprehensive lore guide. And they just had to go and ruin it with the whole "it's from the Titan's point of view and so biased" nonsense. I haven't even read through all of Vol III because of that. And if they're retconning things in Vol IV, I don't know if it's even worth buying it.

Essentially buying retcons at this point.

I always liked how Gul'dan started to despair when Varyan didn't die as easily as he thought he would and had to use more power.

I hated how they retold the MoP section. They managed to miss all the stuff that made the MoP's story memorable, (there were expections) they missed the point of Mists, the themes werent there. But i guess after the third volume one shouldnt ve expected much. (I didnt read the rest of it yet so i will have to hold judgement for now)

So why did Jaina go to Kul'Tiras according to this book? I hope it was explained in the book, because it doesn't make sense if the Zandalari weren't a threat at that point.

Didn’t Shadowlands basically make the first Chronicles pointless?

….man the lore just seems so unredeemibly fucked, I don’t think they can do it anymore :(

Freya stricking a bodybuilding pose was unexpected.

It really seems like they're going for a meta narrative. "What makes a soul" seems to be the foundation for the story be it Azeroths world soul or the soul of a single lowly NPC. all mortal decisions are driven by emotions and as we move toward a grandiose narrative of fate and light/void on a cosmic scale, the idea seems to be light/void exist on a micro scale too....in the soul.

The reason Zovaal saw a generic irrational doom, is because he saw/felt the concept of negativity as he experienced the fates of mortals. And it is negativity that threatens us all be it on a grand cosmic scale of doom or tragedy in our personal lives on the individual scale.

The idea being positive n negative forces make up the universe (same reason SL chronicle had all the forces either highlighted or shaded) and the cold logical robots (titans/Zovaal) are worried negativity will consume us all

And the void is the big bad guiding everything. Literal negativity, insidious darkness fueling chaos death and destruction, corrupting life and every soul that feels doubt/pain/sadness/wrath. Literally corrupting Azeroths very soul from within and through her nightmares. Fitting. All war, all chaos, all death leads to oblivion. Void is what exists beyond death and SL was just setting the stage while the burning crusade was just the pawn on the board while they watched from beyond the stars

I'm waiting for them to rewrite Garrosh (THE GOAT🐐) to being alive again

I’m amused that they blamed horde adventurers for knifefu’s release, but it makes sense, it means the conversation between the alliance player and Anduin didn’t actually happen, therefore Anduin doesn’t actually know what happened. And can’t call us out on our foolishness.
