My native grandma who lived through the Great Depression LOVED her instant coffee. I would always make it for her when she lived with us. Everyone had regular brewed she would have instant. She called it her mud water. And she drank it black. No creamers.

I love adding instant coffee to hot chocolate. Such an easy way to make a mocha. I usually add 2 teaspoons instead of 1.

My grandparents always had instant coffee. It was what they drank. My grandpa had dementia the last time he made me a cup before he passed.

It was awful. But it was also the best cup of coffee I have ever had. I miss him.

In high school, my parents didn't like me drinking coffee, but I absolutely LOVED it. This resulted in me buying a heck ton of instant coffee, dissolving it in a small bottle/flask (I usually made it pretty thick lol) with a lot of sugar....then take a bottle of milk with me to school. Pour in the coffee mix, and voila, iced coffee lolol. Was delicious.
