Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

My strategy has always been to invest 25% of my income in the stock market at the beginning of each month. The second part of my strategy is not to sell for at least 5 years, but recently my portfolio has suffered major decline about 150k in losses. What can I do please?

Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Having a good entry and exit strategy will make you succeed in the stock market.

There is obviously a compounding effect in the very long term for large capital, but is not "automatic", and with the wrong strategies you can even lose more than you have, and selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies.

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.

It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks in this bull run. I'm contemplating investing more than $300k for retirement. While the bull run can generate short-term excitement, i also need long-term investment strategy

Interesting takeaway. What I myself want to do is divest my 70k portfolio to include digital currencies with potential for high growth and profit. I've read that is how people are making a lot of profit in the market now. Any recommendation?

I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it’s ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $200k gains with months, I'm really just confused at this point.

I've recently allocated my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, and 25% SCHG. Meanwhile, my Roth 401(k) is divided into 70% Vanguard S&P 500 Index, 20% Vanguard Growth Index, and 10% Vanguard International Index. My goal is to grow my $350, 000 portfolio to over $1 million in just three years before retirement. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on how to optimize my investments for maximum growth!"

Accept people laughing at your $0.50 dividends, Stick to the process and accumulate more shares, Laugh at them for not understanding how compounding works.

Hi! I'm from New Delhi looking to start investing in the US stock market with $80-100k. Should I focus on index funds or individual stocks? Also, any tips on handling currency exchange rates? Thanks!

One reputed analyst given forecast for 2024 around 23100-23500( 10% upside)
Nifty went 26000+ in 6 months
But by Dec. it's again back to 23500 level
Markets r volatile
Who knows
Nifty might go to 50000 by 2029 & back to below 40000 in 2030

I'm throwing in the towel on stocks - at least, that's how it feels. Despite investing $2k to $3k monthly in solid, blue-chip companies, my portfolio just keeps taking a hit. I'm frustrated and unsure what to do. Any advice on how to navigate this market and finally start seeing some growth?

Valuation of quick commerce companies like ZOMATO, swiggy are very high, PEs are around 150/200. Higher PE means profit is not generated in the proportion of increase in share price. People's favourable sentiments moves the price upward. So there is no valuation comfort.
