I feel like, because of the book of Bill, everyone finally realised that Stanford's story is the Gravity fall's equivalent of what happened to Simon Petrikov, at least in terms of how tragic and gripping the said events are, both having the ability to serve basically as self-contained stories inside of a larger narrative.

the uncanny repetition. the too-wide smile. the mix of him being so much clumsier and simultaneously so much more poised when posessed. The way you play with hiding and revealing his eyes (THE ORANGE LENSES!! THE LENSES FADING AWAY TO SHOW HIS FEAR AND VULNERABILITY AFTER THE TAPES!!) I LOVE the contortion in _that_ scene and the subtly glowing pupils to show him getting controlled--and the postcard!! I am shocked that I haven't seen ANYONE show him actually WRITING THE POSTCARD yet!!

Oh my god I love this. Its fucked up when you realize the gravity of what really happened to ford. It aint easy but he had it coming for dealing with something he wasnt prepared for.
