Don’t use them the wrong way. What I recommend when you got a puppy. Use a leash so the puppy get used to it, but you let the leash on the ground, so you puppy follows you naturally. He learns to stay close with you on a leash. And you have you hands free to praise your dog with treats, use you hands to guide or use hand signals as a command or with a command. Some people think a slip lead harms a dog. But a harness do the same thing. Because, when a dog learns to drag you everywhere on a harness and always pulling. Is not good for his leg muscles. And when your dog gets over excited and panting a lot. Your dog is in stress all of the time. And don’t use a harness for breeds that are naturally pullers, like husky’s.
